I wanted to start something new…for my blog site. I call it “Blog-thoughts” and what this is just me recording thoughts about our photo sessions and up coming events. The past few days I have been just thinking and thinking…and thinking about a lot of things and I am going to start blogging a little bit more and about the experience of being a business owner and a photographer and graphic designer. Yesterday was Good Friday, the day that our Lord Jesus died for our sins. At the sixth hour (4pm) darkness fell upon the land and Jesus asked His Father in Heaven “Father, please forgive them for they don’t know not what they do”? At the time of His death He said Lord it is finished. The darkness of the land the left up until the next morning at 9am. Can you imagine beginning there to witness this moment seeing our Lord up on that cross dying for us? Every Good Friday I cry I read the Bible to walking with Him during His last days and cry for the pain and for the people who crucified Him because they just didn’t know nor understood it. Joseph has now taken His body and buried Him into his tomb. People are coming to mourn His death. Tomorrow morning He will be risen from the dead. He will be walk the Earth once more for a period of time before He will be ascended into Heaven to sit at His Father’s right hand.
Let’s us remember why He died for us and let us not re-crucify Him and let not His dying be in vain. Spring means it’s a new beginning and when Jesus died on the cross he got buried Him buried our sins along with Him. But when He rose from the dead it meant a new beginning for us, for us to believeth in Him.

Well the month of April has surely stood up to it’s theme, “April Showers!” It has been raining and raining but the flowers are blooming beautifully making us forget about the rain! Downtown Jackson is being threaten by the Pearl River to be flooded and more rain is suppose to come early next week. Hoping that this rain will not rain on my week for Easter portraits! Which starts on April 13 – 20 Easter is on April 20th this year! I have a deal for $75 see below ad. Please make note that Easter day is one of our Premium dates. 
I am going to start posting at 8am on my Facebook business page quotes to help everyone start their day off on a good note. These quotes will be called Morning Dose! Meaning dose of medicine to start your day off.

The end of March is here and April is coming in that means Easter is near and Prom is in the time here! I will have an Easter Special going on for one weeks! The day of Easter will be a Premium Day and that means the creative fee doubles so make sure you get you outfits and reservations in earlier!!!! Next month our Maternity and Newborn studio will be opening by the middle of the month so go ahead and get those appointments booked.

Today is the last day for our Model Search event. This event was from March 10th to March 13th but due to raining on Tuesday I expanded it for another day which is today! This was a very fun event got to take pictures of a lot of people at different locations around Jackson. From Smith Park to the ending day (today) at the Reservoir in 3 different places. I am so excited about this event how people allowed me to capture their beautiful moment as they fashioned out their outfits!
The event was about if you’re an aspiring model and need headshot, half/full shots I will give you FREE portraits for you to be a model for my company. I am still needing more males and children to complete my portfolio. If I don’t get them I might have another Model Search next month! The only thing you need to do is call to see which area of the Reservoir I will be at today because I have picked out 3 spots there. Next I am going to ready to work on these images and printing out their best 2 poses and giving them to them and a CD as well! Great deal and it’s all FREE to the client!

Happy Black History Month! & Valentine’s!

The ground-hog seen his shadow so this means that he is saying that it will be 6 more weeks of Winter, I am getting started early on the Spring, Mardi Gras, and Easter specials! If you have any ideas please don’t hesitate let me know I am always up to hearing you ideas! Did you know that Easter is in late April this year? I was sooo surprised to learn that and also Mardi Gras day will fall in March. I know in this area we don’t do anything special for Mardi Gras but I am originally from the Coast of Alabama so it’s a big thing for me cause Mobile is where it all started! A lot of people think that it was birth in New Orleans but NOPE! It was birth in Mobile, AL by Mardi and Gras themselves and it’s a family event you don’t have to worry about the nakedness, you can bring your children on down to celebrate in downtown Mobile, AL. A lot to do grill out, dance, play, ride on carnival rides it’s just a blast!

I am getting ready for my Valentine Session making all the Facebook, Google Plus covers. I am so excited about this I can’t wait to capture a couples love rather new or old. New love is fresh, it reminds me of the time when I first meet my husband what a laughable moment that was. Happy New Year 2014!!!! This year is starting off really great for me and I am so happy! I have been rewriting our contracts the terms and conditions to make it fit our brand more. It really has been a long two days trying to make sure that you have gotten everything in that you want to, to make sure that you have covered everything. Yet it was a great experience when you work on something that you really want to accomplished for yourself and your family.
This year I want to have an interactive Facebook book page as you know that I have two pages one for my graphics and the other for photography. I have them separate but I have been thinking about combining them both pages but then I am not sure because I have my old logo representing the graphics but you know as I am typing I am really thing that I should do it.
